Dimmer Switch: Description and Operation

The instrument panel lamp circuit is routed through a light switch rheostat resistor on the thumbwheel. Rotating the thumbwheel varies panel illumination from dim to full bright. Rotating the thumbwheel past the detent at full-bright turns on the dome lamp.
