LABOR ALLOWANCES
PARTS REQUIREMENTS
PLEASE NOTE:
^ This repair requires a unique urethane installation kit, Essex product # 59202 when replacing the windshield and/or liftgate glass.
^ Do not use ordinary urethane for this Safety Recall program.
^ The Essex urethane installation kit required for this program is not intended for use in any other application.
^ Refer to the Revised Process Flowchart in this attachment for ordering details.
REVISED PARTS ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
Unique Urethane Installation Kit:
You must order the unique urethane installation kit by calling Essex. Be prepared to provide the owner name and complete VIN of each affected vehicle that you wish to repair. The operator will validate the VIN and advise you if the vehicle requires both liftgate and windshield glass or liftgate glass only. Please note the number of kits and pieces of glass that are required.
Glass Replacements:
Contact your local glass installer as soon as possible so they can place an order for the glass replacements. Be sure to inform the installer of the number of pieces of glass that are required and review how you would like to coordinate the service appointment with them and the vehicle owner.
PARTS SHIPMENT
The correct Urethane Installation Kit(s) will be shipped to your dealership. A label displaying the VIN of the affected vehicle and owner name will appear on each urethane kit shipped to assist you in tracking the parts at your dealership.
PARTS ARRIVAL AND SERVICE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
The Urethane Installation Kit(s) should arrive approximately three to five days from the date of order. Confirm with the installer that the Urethane Installation Kit(s) have arrived and schedule an installation date.
