Procedures

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Position aside the weatherstrip.







3. Remove the windshield garnish molding.
4. Remove the upper B-pillar trim.
5. Remove the upper C-pillar trim.
6. Remove the upper D-pillar trim.







7. Remove the sun visors from each side.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Disconnect the connector.
3 Remove the clip.







8. Open the overhead console door.







9. Remove the screw.







10. Remove the overhead console.
^ Disconnect the electrical connectors.







11. Open the assist handle screw covers.







12. Remove the assist handle screws and the assist handle.







13. Remove the rear compartment A/C control.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.







14. Open the four coat hook assemblies.







15. Remove the coat hook assembly screws and the coat hook assemblies.
^ Disconnect the electrical connectors.







16. Remove the rear interior lamp assembly.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.







17. Remove the eight pin-type retainers.







18. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
19. Remove the headliner.

INSTALLATION
1. Raise the headliner into position.

NOTE: Folding the headliner will require replacement with a new headliner.







2. Connect the electrical connectors.







3. Install the eight pin-type retainers.







4. Connect the rear interior lamp assembly electrical connector.







5. Install the rear interior lamp assembly.







6. Connect the courtesy lamp electrical connector on each of the four coat hook assemblies.







7. Install the coat hook assemblies.







8. Connect the A/C control electrical connector.







9. Install the rear compartment A/C control.







10. Install the assist handle.







11. Connect the overhead console electrical connectors.







12. Install the overhead console.







13. Install the sun visors.
1 Install the clip.
2 Connect the sun visor electrical connector.
3 Install the screws.
14. Install the upper D-pillar trim panel.
15. Install the upper C-pillar trim panel.
16. Install the upper B-pillar trim panel.







17. Install the windshield garnish molding.







18. Install the weatherstrip.
19. Check the restraint Systems for proper operation.
20. Connect the battery ground.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
