Throttle Body: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the throttle return spring.
3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and the Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable.
5. Remove the throttle body.
6. If required, remove the Throttle Body (TB) gasket.
7. If required, remove the idle air control valve and Idle Air Control (IAC) gasket.
8. If required, remove the throttle position sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. If the throttle position sensor was removed, install the throttle position sensor.
2. If the idle air control valve was removed, install the idle air control gasket and idle air control valve.
3. If the throttle body gasket was removed, install a new throttle body gasket.
4. Install the throttle body.
5. Connect the accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable.
6. Connect the engine control sensor wiring from the idle air control valve and the throttle position sensor.
7. Install the throttle return spring.
8. Connect the battery ground cable.
