Spark Plug Wire Remover:

SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S)

REMOVAL







1. Use the Spark Plug Wire Remover to pull the spark plug wire off the spark plug.

NOTE: Do not pull on the spark plug wire set.







2. Squeeze the locking tabs and remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.

NOTE: Pull upward with a gentle side to side motion when removing the spark plug wires.







3. Disconnect the spark plug wire routing clips and remove spark plug wires.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE:
^ Wipe the spark plug wire sets with a clean, damp cloth before inspecting them. Without removing the spark plug wire sets from the spark plugs or ignition coils inspect them for visible damage such as cuts, pinches, or cracked or torn boots.
^ Apply Silicone Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171A to the inside of the spark plug wire boots.
