Pitman Arm: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the steering sector shaft arm drag link castellated nut.
1 Remove the cotter pin.
2 Remove the castellated nut.

3. Using the special tool, separate the steering sector shaft arm drag link.

4. Scribe alignment marks between the steering gear sector shaft and steering gear sector shaft arm.

5. Remove the steering gear sector shaft arm to the sector shaft nut.

6. Using the special tool, remove the steering gear sector shaft arm.

Installation

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Lower the vehicle.
