Thermostat: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Partially drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the upper radiator hose.





3. Remove the water thermostat and paper gasket assembly.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the water outlet connection.
3 Remove the water thermostat and paper gasket assembly.


Installation





1. Note: The water thermostat is indexed and must be installed correctly.

Install the water thermostat.
- Install the thermostat.
- Install the water outlet adapter and the bolts.
2. Connect the upper radiator hose.
3. Fill the cooling system.
