SERVICE HEGO REPLACEMENT

AFFECTED VEHICLES:
CERTAIN 2000 AND 2001 F-150 AND NAVIGATOR MODELS BUILT WITH A 5.4L ENGINE THAT RECEIVED A HEGO SENSOR DURING SERVICE

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Replace the HEGO sensor. Refer to Section 303-14, Electronic Engine Controls, in the appropriate workshop manual.

PREPARE AUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS LABEL AND PROVIDE PROOF OF CORRECTION CERTIFICATE





1. Obtain and prepare the Authorized Modifications Label. Write the modification completed, your P&A code, date of repair and the recall program type and program number as shown. See Figure 1

2. Clean an area of the radiator support.

3. Apply the label to the clean area.

4. Provide California and Massachusetts owners with a "Vehicle Emissions Recall - Proof of Correction" certificate.
