REMOVAL

1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Service and Repair, Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure, Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery procedure







2. Remove the tube clamp.







3. Disconnect the condenser to evaporator line from the A/C evaporator core.For additional information on the spring lock couplings disconnect and connect procedure, refer to Heating and Air Conditioning.







4. Remove the sight shield.







5. Disconnect the condenser-to-evaporator line from the A/C condenser core and remove the line.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Lubricate the O-ring seals with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
