Rear


REMOVAL
1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure, please refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair/ Service and Repair
2. Drain the engine cooling system.






3. Disconnect and plug the heater water hoses, please refer to Heating and Air Condition/Heater Hose/Service and Repair/ Service and Repair






4. Disconnect the refrigerant line spring lock coupling, please refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Coupler HVAC/Service and Repair/ Service and Repair
5. If equipped, remove the third, fourth and fifth bench seats as required, please refer to Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/ Procedures
6. If equipped, remove the trim panels, please refer to Body and Frame/Interior Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/ Procedures
^ Remove the LH center bolster trim panel, please refer to Body and Frame/Interior Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/ Procedures
^ Remove the quarter trim rear upper panel, please refer to Body and Frame/Interior Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/ Procedures
^ Remove the lower rear body side trim panel, please refer to Body and Frame/Interior Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/ Procedures






7. Remove the heater air plenum chamber, please refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/ Service and Repair
1 Remove the screw.
2 Remove the heater air plenum chamber, please refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/ Service and Repair






8. Remove the air conditioning and heater assembly.
1 Remove the screws.

NOTE: Vehicles equipped with the interior trim package have only the left two screws.

2 Remove the air conditioning and heater assembly.

NOTE: Do not spill any remaining coolant or refrigerant oil while removing the air conditioning and heater assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Lubricate the coolant hoses using MERPOL(R) or plain water, if needed.
