Auxiliary Climate Control
REMOVAL1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.
2. Remove the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery.
3. Remove the battery tray.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the battery tray.
4. Disconnect the evaporator discharge line.
CAUTION: Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.
5. Disconnect the auxiliary evaporator to compressor tube spring lock coupling.
6. Remove the screw.
7. Disconnect the A/C cycling switch connector.
8. Remove the suction accumulator/drier.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the suction accumulator/drier.
9. Remove the A/C cycling switch.
INSTALLATION
1. Service the new suction accumulator/drier with the correct amount of PAG compressor oil, YN-12c, F7AZ-19589-DA, or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C213-B. Refrigerant Oil Addition
2. Install the A/C cycling switch.
^ Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG compressor oil, YN-12c, F7AZ-19589-DA, or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
3. Install the suction accumulator/drier.
1 Install the suction accumulator/drier.
2 Install the screws.
4. Connect the A/C cycling switch connector.
5. Connect the evaporator discharge line.
1 Lubricate the new O-ring seals with PAG compressor oil, YN-12c, F7AZ-19589-DA, or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B and install the O-ring seals.
2 Connect the evaporator discharge line.
6. Connect the auxiliary evaporator to compressor line spring lock coupling.
7. Install the screw.
8. Install the battery tray.
9. Install the battery. For additional information, refer to Battery.
10. Evacuate and charge the A/C system.
