Removal
1. Disconnect the battery.





2. Disconnect the air cleaner assembly.
1. Loosen the worm clamps.
2. Remove the air cleaner bracket bolts and pull the air cleaner away from its mounts.





3. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.





4. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
5. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
6. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.





7. Disconnect the following:
1. The oil filler tube.
2. The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube.





8. Disconnect the evaporative emissions return tube from under the throttle body.
9. Remove the engine cover.





10. Remove the oil level indicator tube and bracket.
11. Remove the power steering support bracket.





12. Disconnect the spark plug separators from the valve covers.





13. Disconnect the ignition wires from the spark plugs.





14. Remove the lifting eye.





15. Remove the valve cover and discard the gasket.
16. Clean the mating surface.

Installation





1. Install the valve cover and new gasket. Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





2. Install the lifting eye.





3. Connect the ignition wires to the spark plugs and the separators.





4. Install the oil level indicator tube.
- Use a new O-ring seal.
5. Install the power steering pump support bracket.





6. Connect the following:
1. The oil filler tube.
2. The PCV fresh air tube.





7. Connect the evaporative emissions return tube to the bottom of the throttle body.
8. Install the throttle inlet tube.
- Tighten the worm clamp.
9. Connect the IAT and the PCV fresh air tube to the throttle air inlet tube.
10. Connect the MAF sensor connector.





11. Install the air cleaner assembly.
1. Connect the air tube.
2. Install the bolts.
12. Connect the battery.
13. Install the engine cover.
