This TSB is being republished in its entirety to correct the type of cleaner being used in Figures 1, 3, and 6.

ISSUE:
The many sources of leaks which typically appear at the lower end, front end, intake manifold valley, and rocker cover rails have led to mis-diagnosis as to the source of the leak and improper repair procedures, repeat repairs, and customer dissatisfaction.

ACTION:
This TSB article has been developed to list the latest sealing techniques and associated part numbers for:

^ Oil Pan

^ Rear Main Seal

^ Rocker Covers

^ Intake Manifold

This article attempts to fully address all issues as one, in order to provide a diagnostic guide which leads to proper diagnosis and repair the first time. Use the following procedures to verify the location of the oil leak and perform the repair.
