AIR CONDITIONING - A/C SUCTION HOSE ROUTING

LIGHT TRUCK:
1991-93 EXPLORER

ISSUE:
The A/C suction line routing was changed on Job # 1, 1993. This same new suction hose and routing pattern should be used on 1991 and 1992 Explorers requiring service repairs.

ACTION:





If service is required, install a new manifold/tube assembly (suction line) and route it as shown in Figure 1. If the Explorer was built before April 8, 1991, also install a new longer suction accumulator/drier designed to accept the new suction line. Refer to the 1993 Explorer Service Manual, Section 12-03A, for service details.
