INSTALLATION

1. Remove all gasket material from the sealing surfaces on engine front cover and water pump assembly. Apply sealer to both sides of the new water pump housing gasket and place the water pump housing gasket on the water pump.

2. Position the water pump to the front cover with two bolts finger-tight. Tighten all water pump assembly attaching bolts to 8.5-12 Nm (6-9 ft lb).

3. Install water pump pulley. Tighten bolts to 22-28 Nm (16-20 ft lb).

4. Install generator mounting bracket with assembled generator. Tighten bracket-to-cylinder head bolts to 40-55 Nm (30-40 ft lb).

5. Install drive belt tensioner. Tighten bolts to 40-55 Nm (30-40 ft lb).

6. Install A/C compressor mounting bracket and brace with assembled power steering pump and A/C compressor. Tighten three bracket-to-cylinder head bolts and two bracket-to-front cover nuts to 40-55 Nm (30-40 ft lb).

7. CAUTION: Nut has left-hand thread; turn counterclockwise to tighten.

Install fan blade and fan clutch assembly using Fan Clutch Holding Tool T84T-6312-C and Fan Clutch Nut Wrench T84T-6312-D. Tighten to 40-135 Nm (30-100 ft-lb).

8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
