MIRRORS - POWER OUTSIDE REAR VIEW - SERVICE MIRROR HOUSING LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM ORIGINAL HOUSING

ISSUE:
The service replacement outside rear view mirror housing may look different than the original housing. The replacement housing has a grained surface and the original housing has a non-grained surface.

ACTION:
Use an outside rear view mirror service kit when replacing non-grain complete mirror assemblies only. The kit includes a right hand and left hand mirror assembly with a grained shell. Refer to the 1994 Econoline Service Manual, Section 01-09, for removal and installation procedures.

NOTE:
TO SERVICE BROKEN GLASS IN THE NEW STYLE MIRROR ASSEMBLY, USE THE SERVICE PARTS LISTED IN THE PARTS CATALOG. DO NOT REPLACE THE NEW STYLE (GRAINED) MIRROR ASSEMBLY FOR GLASS CONCERNS.
