Front Output Shaft

1. Remove snap ring and speedometer gear from end of the shaft.
2. Remove tone wheel ring, drive sprocket and snap ring that retains ball bearing assembly on the shaft.
3. Install bearing splitter tool No. D79L-4621-A between the bearing and the U-joint, then place assembly in press so the end of the shaft is toward the top of the press and press shaft out of bearing using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-3 on the end of the shaft.
4. Remove snap rings that retain bearing cups and cross in ears of yokes.
5. Using U-joint tool No. T74P-4635-C or equivalent, press bearing cups and cross from ears of yokes, then remove cups and cross. Discard the cups, cross and snap ring.
6. Reverse procedure to assemble. Ensure to use new cups, cross and snap rings.
