RECALL TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION REVISIONS

Revisions were made to the Technical Instructions to address several issues that were raised by dealers after the initial launch of Safety Recall Program 99S02.

A summary of the revisions are listed below:

Step # 7. - Revised circuit used for relay installation from A1 to A3.

Step # 8. - Circuit A3 used for "Jumper A" installation.

Step # 15. - Addresses the location of the brake shift interlock solenoid electrical connector for manual transmission equipped vehicles

Step # 35. - Revised verification procedure for operation of brake shift interlock (for vehicles equipped with automatic transmission) and blower motor operation.

Step # 36. - Additional verification procedure to ensure accessories (brake shift interlock, for vehicles equipped with automatic transmission; blower motor, for vehicles equipped with manual transmission; daytime running lamps [DRL] for Canadian vehicles) DO NOT operate with the key in the ACCESSORY position.
