Heater Core

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Ensure engine is cool, then relieve radiator pressure as follows;
a. Using thick cloth, turn radiator cap slowly to first stop, then step back while pressure is released.
b. Install, then tighten cap on radiator.
2. Disconnect hoses from heater core using heater hose disconnect tool No. T85T-18539-AH, or equivalent. Plug hoses and heater core to prevent spillage of coolant.

3. Working from inside passenger compartment, remove heater core access cover to plenum chamber screws, then the access cover.
4. Pull heater core rearward with downward motion and remove from plenum chamber.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure heater core and heater core case seal snaps into retainer bracket at top of heater core.
b. Check and add coolant as necessary.
