Control Assembly: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel center finish trim panel as follows:
a. Remove radio.
b. Release radio opening cover tabs, then remove cover.
c. Remove rear wipe/wash, rear defrost and fog lamp switches.
d. Remove center finish trim panel screws and grasshopper clips, then the panel.
e. Disconnect electrical connector.
3. Remove three control assembly to instrument panel screws.
4. Pull assembly rearward, then disconnect assembly electrical connectors.
5. Remove vacuum harness from mode selector valve.
6. Remove temperature control cable, then the control assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
