Oil Pan: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Relieve fuel system pressure, then disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine oil dipstick and tube.
3. On models equipped with low engine oil level sensor, disconnect electrical connector at sensor.
4. Drain oil from crankcase and remove starter motor.
5. Remove transmission inspection cover.

6. Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then remove oil pan and gasket.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Apply silicone sealant to oil pan junction at rear main bearing cap and engine block and at front cover and engine block junction. Allow silicone sealant to cure for approximately 15 minutes. Tighten oil pan attaching bolts to 5-7 ft lb.
