Static Timing

Injection Pump Timing Marks:

1. Remove the fast idle bracket and solenoid from the injection pump.
2. Loosen the injection pump retaining nuts using special tool (Ford part #T83T-9000-B, or equivalent).
NOTE: Loosen the nuts just enough to turn the pump. If the nuts are too loose, improper adjustment may result.
3. Using the injection pump rotating tool (Ford part #T83T-9000-C, or equivalent), rotate the pump to align the timing mark on the pump with the timing mark on the pump adapter housing to within +/- 0.030 inch.
4. Remove the rotating tool and tighten the retaining nuts. Inspect the timing marks to make sure the marks are aligned.
5. Install the fast idle bracket and solenoid.
