TRANSMISSION - MANUAL - TOD - INPUT BEARING RETAINER/GASKET USAGE
LIGHT TRUCKS 1984 BRONCO, F150-250
The 1984 Top Shift Transmissions (TOD) may have any one of the following input shaft bearing retainers:
a. D8TR-7050-AB - requires gasket
b. E0TR-7050-AA - requires gasket
c. E1TR-7050-AA - requires anaerobic sealer
If, at any time, a bearing retainer using a gasket requires replacement, a 1984 E4TZ-7050-A bearing retainer and anaerobic sealant, E2AZ-19562-A should be utilized. If the latest level retainer (E4TZ-7050-A) is not available, then use one of the earlier level retainers and gasket is acceptable.
Anaerobic and paper gaskets are not interchangeable. The retainers used with paper gaskets can only be used with gaskets, not used with sealer. Likewise, the E1TR- 7050-AA bearing retainer can only be used with the anaerobic sealer E2AZ-19562-A.
