Description of Condition and Correction

Some of the described vehicles may have been built-with a vacuum delay valve instead of a vacuum retard delay valve installed in a vacuum line of the thermactor air system. Vehicles experiencing this condition may require modification to help assure acceptable levels of emission control.

Ford is recalling these vehicles to correct this condition. Correction will consist of installing a vacuum retard delay valve.
