This article revises the vehicle emission control diagram of early 1984 production units to include the air cleaner bi-metal symbol.

FIGURE 33:

Some early production (Job #1) vehicles may have been built with the emission control information decal not reflecting the air cleaner bi-metal symbol (A/CL BI-MET) (Figure 32). It should be noted that the engine is correctly built. Using a Sharpie #49 pen, add the air cleaner bimetal sensor symbol to the emission control diagram as shown in Figure 32. Vehicles built after February 1, 1984 should have emission control diagrams that include the air cleaner bi-metal symbol as shown in Figure 33.

Obtain an Authorized Modifications decal and list the date, dealer number and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications decal. Clean the area, install the decal and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
