WARNING: On models equipped with Driver Airbag Restraint System, it is necessary to follow special procedures when servicing steering column components. These procedures are necessary to avoid accidental deployment of airbag which may cause damage or personal injury.
1. Refer to images for steering column removal, noting the following:
a. Disconnect battery ground cable.
b. Remove steering wheel using a suitable puller.
CAUTION: Do not hammer on steering wheel to remove, as the collapsible mechanism may be damaged.
c. Reverse procedure to install.
