With Cruise Control

1. Turn the ignition on (without starting the engine) for approx. 15 seconds minimum.
2. Remove the air cleaner.

Accelerator Cable Adjustment:





3. Loosen the adjusting bolts.

Accelerator Cable And Pedal Assembly (W/ Cruise Control):





4. First, adjust accelerator cable B in and out movement (throttle valve side), using the adjustment bolts.

Clearance: 0.04-0.08 in.
(1-2 mm)

5. Tighten the adjusting bolts.

Accelerator Cable, Throttle Body End:





6. Confirm that the throttle lever contacts the idle position switch.

Cable "A" Adjustment Point:





7. Next, adjust accelerator cable A in and out movement (accelerator pedal side) using the adjustment nut. With the intermediate link A of the actuator held against the stopper, adjust the A cable to the standard clearance and tighten the locking nut.

Clearance:
Manual transmission 0-0.04 in. (0-1 mm)
Automatic transmission 0.08-0.12 in. (2-3 mm)


Intermediate Link Clearance Check Point:





8. After adjustment recheck to ensure that the engine side cable has the specified clearance.
9. Confirm that the throttle valve fully opens and closes by operating the accelerator pedal.
