Periodically, the track assembly on the motorized seat belt system may exhibit a chatter while cycling. Relubrication of the track assembly will correct this condition. Note this information in the lubrication section of your service manual for future reference.
PARTS REQUIRED
5 grams Special Lubricant PN 4467749
PROCEDURE
The following describes the lubrication procedure for the motorized seat belt track and drive assembly.
1. Disconnect torso belt buckle from carrier.
2. Apply a 3 mm dot of lubricant (PN 4467749) at 12 points over the length of the carrier slot on the rail (see Figures 1 & 2 at Point A).
3. Apply a 3 mm dot of lubricant at 6 points on the secondary carrier contact surface on the rail (see Figures 1 & 2 at Point B).
4. Connect the torso belt to the carrier and cycle the carrier to insure proper distribution of lubricant.
NOTE: BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL DURING THE APPLICATION OF THE LUBRICANT NOT TO GET LUBRICANT ON ANY HARD OR SOFT TRIM.
