Power Steering Pump Removal and Installation

Fig. 11 Power Steering Attaching Bolts:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Loosen pump drive belt.
3. Disconnect return hose and high pressure hose from pump.
4. Remove pump mounting bolts and the pump.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install and tighten attaching bolts (F, G & H) as indicated, then remaining bolts. Torque bracket to intake manifold and water pump bolts to 30 ft. lbs. and all other bolts to 20 ft. lbs.
b. Fill pump reservoir to proper level.
