Water Pump: Service and Repair

1. Remove electric cooling fan assembly.
2. Loosen and remove accessory drive belt.
3. Remove water pump pulley mounting bolts.
4. Drain coolant from system, then disconnect radiator and heater hoses from pump.
5. Remove water pump attaching bolts and the pump.
6. Clean and inspect cylinder block surface.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten attaching nuts and bolts to specifications. Fill cooling system to proper level.
