DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
Safety Recall # 745 -- Heater Core Bypass Valve

^ This service requirement applies only to 1988 model year Renault Medallion and 1989 model year Eagle Medallion vehicles.

^ The potential for passenger compartment heater core failure exists on the above listed vehicles. To correct this condition, a coolant temperature controlled heater core fluid bypass valve must be installed.

Parts Packages:

^ Two (2) unique parts packages are required for this recall depending upon the vehicle model year. Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced, will receive enough of each Bypass Valve Package to service about 25% of those vehicles.

Dealers should determine which parts package is required for each vehicle at the time appointments are scheduled to assure that the correct parts package is available when the customer arrives. Refer to the Parts section for details.
