Rail or Mechanism Replacement

1. Remove the sunroof tray assembly as follows:

A. Disconnect all four drain tubes (K) (Figure 7 & 8).

B. Remove the retaining nuts that secure the sunroof tray to the roof and remove the sunroof tray (L) (Figure 8).

C. Move the sunroof to the open position.

D. Disconnect the battery negative cable.

E. Disconnect the electrical connector at the motor.

2. Remove the (6) retaining screws from the rail (U) (Figure 12).
3. Disengage the sunroof deflector (C).

4. Remove the sunroof raising mechanism.

5. Drill the two rear fasteners of the blind riveted rails.

Figure 13:

6. Extract the rails from the sunroof tray; use a sliding motion to disengage the fastening lugs (V) (Figure 13).

7. Reverse the above procedure for installation.
