REMOVAL

1. Drain crankcase, then remove oil pan, refer to OIL PAN.
2. Remove oil pump attaching bolts (D), then remove oil pump (C).
3. Reverse procedure to install. Ensure oil pump drive gear shaft properly engages oil pump.

SERVICE

1. Remove oil pump pressure relief valve from pump housing.
2. Remove oil pump housing cover.

3. Measure gear to housing clearance. Clearance should be .002 to .005 inch.

4. Measure gear to cover clearance. Clearance should be .001 to .004 inch.
5. Replace any worn components, then reassemble.
