Valve guide are available in standard size and over sizes of .519 inch and .525 inch. The valve guides are press fit to the cylinder head. Replacement valve guides should be pressed into the cylinder head from the bottom. Press intake valve guides into cylinder head until clearance (F), Fig. 8, between bottom of cylinder head and bottom of valve guide is 1.22 inches. Press exhaust valve guide in until clearance (G), Fig. 8, is 1.29 inches. After completing installation, valve guides should be reamed to .315 inch.
