Removal and Installation


1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove front wheels.
3. Disconnect and cap brake line from caliper.
4. Disconnect brake pad wear warning lamp electrical connector.
5. Return piston into its bore by sliding caliper outward.
6. Remove lower caliper guide attaching bolt. Remove caliper by rotating it up from guide pivot and sliding it from upper guide pivot.
7. Slide caliper onto upper guide pivot, then rotate caliper downward until seated over brake pads.
8. Install lower caliper guide attaching bolt. Torque bolt to 18 ft. lbs.
9. Reconnect brake pad wear warning lamp electrical connector.
10. Install caliper brake line. Properly bleed brake hydraulic system.
11. Install front wheels. Ensure brake operation is proper before test driving the vehicle.
