Disassembly and Assembly

1. Remove caliper assembly, refer to Removal/Installation.
2. Position a suitable block of wood between caliper and caliper piston. Keep fingers away from piston.
3. Using low pressure compressed air, extract piston from caliper piston bore.
4. Using a suitable tool, remove piston to caliper seal.
5. Install a new seal into caliper. Coat seal using clean brake fluid.
6. Install piston and dust cover onto caliper. Do not damage seal.
7. Check condition of anti-rattle spring. Replace spring if necessary.
8. Install caliper assembly, torque guide bolt to 18 ft. lbs. Ensure hydraulic brake system is properly bled.
