NOTE:
Refer to Figure 2 for the following steps. It is essential that you follow the installation sequence to insure proper track and drive operation.
1. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel and then remove the A-pillar trim panel.
2. Remove the small A-pillar trim panel near the instrument panel, remove the lower B-pillar/door sill trim panel fasteners and then pull the trim panel back to allow access to the drive motor.
3. Disconnect the drive motor wiring connector.
4. Remove the sun visor and gently pull the headliner down to access the track fasteners.
5. Remove all track and drive assembly attachments.
6. Remove the track and drive assembly and set aside for return to the Warranty Material Return Center.

8. Tighten the drive motor attaching bolts (B) to 45 in-lbs (5 N.m).
9. Hand start the two lock box attaching bolts (C). Do not tighten.
10. Tighten the rearward-most track attaching screw (D) to 12 in-lbs (1.2 N.m).
11. Tighten the two lock box bolts (C) to 24 ft-lbs (33 N.m).
12. Tighten the forward-most track attaching screw (F) to 12 in-lbs (1.2 N.m).
13. Tighten the remaining track attaching screw (E) to 12 in-lbs (1.2 N.m).
14. Install the drive cable attaching clip screw (A) and tighten securely.

17. Reinstall the headliner and sun visor.
18. Install the lower B-pillar/door sill trim panel, the small A-pillar trim panel near the instrument panel and the A-pillar trim panel.
19. Install the upper B-pillar trim panel.
IMPORTANT:
1988 through early-1990 model year vehicles require the use of the provided B-pillar trim panels. The original panels may interfere with the operation of the new track and drive assembly. These trim panels must be painted to match the interior of the vehicle following the paint manufacturer's recommendations. (The trim panel material is ABS plastic.) Use the interior trim code information listed on the vehicle code plate shown above to determine the appropriate paint match:
