C. Install Splash Shield (All Vehicles)

1. Remove the left side instrument panel A/C duct.

2. Loosen the right steering column attaching bolt. Do not remove the bolt.





3. Install the splash shield as shown in Figure 18. Make sure the shield is as far forward as possible and above the heater box flange.





4. Install the shield support clip on the brake pedal bracket as shown (Figure 19).

5. Tighten the steering column attaching bolt to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).

6. Verify that the shield does not interfere with the accelerator pedal.

7. Reinstall the A/C duct.

8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
