Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

Vehicle weight must rest on wheels for easier removal of bar.
1. Remove stabilizer bar bracket to body attaching bolts.
2. Remove stabilizer bar bracket to control arm attaching nuts. The nuts and bolts securing the stabilizer bar lower bracket also retains the lower ball joint(s). Replace a nut on one of the two bolts to ensure ball joint does not move out of position.
3. Check condition of stabilizer bar bushings and replace, if necessary.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Coat all new bushings using lubricant No. 8993630 or equivalent.
