Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

Fig. 16 Fuel rail & injector assembly:

1. Remove fuel rail as previously described.
2. Remove injector retaining clamps from inner portion of fuel rail, Fig. 16.
3. Carefully pull injectors from fuel rail assembly.
4. Reverse procedure to install, coating injector O-ring seals with a suitable silicone based grease to ease installation. Replace all cut or damaged seals as necessary.





If replacing any fuel system component, always depressurize fuel system before removal.
