Transmission Pilot Bushing - Installation

INSTALLATION






NOTE: New pilot bearing has special grease packed into bearing. Do not wash grease from bearing. Install bearing with part number markings (1) facing out.






1. Clean pilot bearing bore and apply a light film of grease to pilot bearing bore.
2. Install pilot bearing with pilot bearing installer 9058 (1) and driver handle C-4171 (2).






NOTE: Make sure there is no thread locker debris on fly wheel flange.

3. Install flywheel
4. Apply Mopar(R) lock & seal adhesive to the flywheel bolts and tighten to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) in the sequence shown.
