Seat Belt Reminder Lamp: Testing and Inspection

ENHANCED SEAT BELT REMINDER

The steps must be performed within the first sixty seconds of the ignition switch being placed in the RUN position.

1. With the ignition switch not in the RUN position (OFF), buckle the seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position and wait for the seat belt lamp to extinguish (approximately six seconds).
3. Unbuckle and then re-buckle the seat belt causing the lamp to go ON and OFF three or more times ending with the belt buckled.
4. Return the ignition switch to the OFF position (the feature will toggle from its previous or current status) and a confirmation chime will sound indicating to the customer that the proper sequence to enable/disable the feature was performed.
