Air Door Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Knee Bolster:

1. Remove right and left knee blockers and steel plate assembly.
2. Remove one piece instrument panel bezel.
3. Remove Heater (A/C) control panel.
4. Disconnect Heater (A/C) control cable from Heater (A/C) control panel.
5. Disconnect control cable from water control valve.
6. Remove cable from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
The cable must be installed as outlined below. Failure to do so may result in incomplete heater full shut off.

1. Attach cable to control panel.
2. Rotate temperature control knob to the full shut position.
3. Rotate the water valve control arm to the full closed position.
4. Place cable loop on water valve arm.
5. Verify that the positions obtained in Step 2 and Step 3 have not changed.
6. Position cable housing on water valve clamp and engage clamp.
7. Verify proper Heater (A/C) control cable operation.
