A/C Discharge Hose/Line Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine.

Discharge Line Location:




2. Remove discharge line bolt and line from A/C compressor.

Condenser Inlet:




3. Disconnect discharge line bolt from condenser.
4. Remove line strap attaching screw.

CAUTION: Cap all lines that are not being replaced and cap the expansion valve tubes.

5. Remove discharge line from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. For installation, reverse the above procedures.
2. Tighten the Discharge Line bolt at the Compressor to 20 - 30 Nm (15 - 22 ft. lbs.) torque.
3. Tighten the Discharge Line bolt at the Condenser to 15 - 22 Nm (11 - 16 ft. lbs.) torque.
