Fig. 6 Rear Hub & Bearing Assembly. FWD:

1. Remove rear hub and bearing assembly as shown, noting the following:
a. On models equipped with ABS brake system, remove rear speed sensor attaching nut.
CAUTION: Ensure speed sensor tip and toothed edge of rotor do not strike other parts, as damage may result.
b. Remove caliper assembly then suspend using suitable wire.
c. Rear hub assembly removal/rear hub unit bearing removal.
CAUTION: During removal of the rear hub assembly, if the wheel bearing inner race has been left unremoved on the spindle side, be sure to replace the rear hub assembly with a new one. If the rear hub assembly is to be installed with the inner race left unremoved, the oil seal lip could turn over, resulting in oil leakage and looseness.

d. Rear rotor removal.
CAUTION: Care must be taken not to scratch or scar the rotor's toothed surface, and not to drop it. If the rotor's toothed surface is chipped or the rotor is deformed, it might not be able to accurately sense the wheel rotation speed and the system as a result might not perform normally.
2. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. After tightening the wheel bearing nut, align wheel bearing attaching nut with spindle indentation, then crimp.
