Pump Discharge Flow Volume Test

1. Disconnect pressure hose from pump and install adapter MB991217-A or equivalent with a suitable hose, then place hose in a container which permits measurement of flow rate (graduated cylinder).
2. Start engine, increase idle speed slowly, then hold an indicated speed of 31 mph, measuring discharge flow volume for 30 seconds.
CAUTION: While performing this test, continuously add fluid to reservoir.
3. If discharge flow volume is extremely higher or lower than 1.06 quarts, replace pump.
