Supplemental Restraint - Diagnostic Code Erase Function
NO.: 08-02-93GROUP: Electrical
DATE: Jan. 13, 1993
SUBJECT:
Supplemental Restraint System Diagnosis
MODELS:
1992 (B7) Stealth
DISCUSSION:
Effective April 20, 1992, a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) automatic diagnostic code erase function has been initiated for the following SRS diagnostic codes. If the component that set the diagnostic code returns to a normal state for at least five seconds, the corresponding diagnostic code is erased. In addition this condition will not be counted or stored as a historic condition. This change affects the diagnostic codes.
If codes 41, 42, or 43 are set because of a fault with the A/D (Analog Digital) converter inside of the SRS, the automatic diagnostic code erase function is not used and the fault will be stored as a historic condition.
