INSTALLATION
1. Inspect all coolant tube O-rings for wear and cuts, replace as necessary.
2. Inspect water pump housing O-ring mating surfaces for gouges.

3. Install water pump onto coolant tubes till pump is seated on coolant tubes.

4. Tighten water pump mounting bolts to 17.5 Nm 13 ft.lbs. torque.

5. Install radiator hoses to water rack and thermostat housing. Install by-pass hose to water rack.

CAUTION: When installing the accessory drive belt, the belt MUST be routed correctly. Incorrect belt routing can cause the water pump to rotate in the opposite direction resulting in engine overheating.

6. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair section for procedures. Service and Repair

7. Close radiator drain.
8. Fill and bleed cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Filling and Bleeding outlined in this section.
