1992-1993 Colt Vista Summit Wagon Steering Column:

WARNING: On models equipped with Airbag Restraint System, it is necessary to follow special procedures when servicing steering column components. These procedures are necessary to avoid accidental deployment of airbag which may cause damage or personal injury.
1. Refer to images above for steering column removal, noting the following:
a. Disconnect battery ground cable.
b. Remove steering wheel attaching nut, then using steering wheel puller tool No. DT-1001-A or equivalent, remove steering wheel.
CAUTION: Do not hammer on steering wheel to remove, as the collapsible mechanism may be damaged.
c. Reverse procedure to install.
