Rear Door Window Glass: Service and Repair
Glass Guidance System:
WINDOW GLASS REMOVAL
1. Remove trim panel and plastic air shield.
2. Remove glass stabilizer.
3. Align glass lift channel with upper access holes for front and rear glass attaching screws.
4. With glass held securely, disengage glass from lift channel.
5. Remove upper portion of door glass run.
6. Detach division channel (3 screws at: upper door frame, belt opening attachment bracket, and lower attachment bracket).
7. Carefully remove glass and division channel assembly through belt opening, inboard of door frame.
8. Slide glass out of division channel. Remove 2 pins and plastic glass run from rear edge of glass.
9. Remove stationary glass and weatherstrip assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Install stationary glass and weatherstrip assembly.
2. Assemble plastic glass run and 2 pins to rear edge of glass. Slide into division channel.
3. Install glass and division channel assembly through belt opening, inboard or door frame.
4. Loosely secure glass and division channel assembly to door (3 screws at: upper door frame, belt attachment bracket, and lower attachment bracket).
5. Align glass lift channel with upper access holes for front and rear attachment screws.
6. Secure glass to lift channel.
7. Install upper portion of door glass run.
8. Install glass stabilizer.
9. Adjust glass (see instructions).
10. Install plastic air shield and trim panel.
STATIONARY QUARTER GLASS REMOVAL
1. Remove trim panel and plastic air shield.
2. Loosen stabilizer.
3. Lower the glass half way.
4. Detach division channel from upper door frame (1 screw) and from belt operating bracket.
5. Loosen division channel at lower attaching bracket.
6. Tilt glass and division channel assembly forward.
7. Pull out stationary quarter glass and weatherstrip assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. Install stationary quarter glass and weatherstrip.
2. Tilt glass and division channel back and attach loosely at belt bracket and at door upper frame.
3. Adjust glass (see instructions).
4. Install plastic air shield and trim panel.
